COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Specialised Incident Investigation Techniques Course, based on (ICAM – Incident Cause Analysis Method) is designed to equip individuals with the skills and methodology necessary to effectively investigate incidents in the workplace. ICAM is a systematic and structured approach used to analyse incidents, accidents, or near-misses to determine their root causes and prevent recurrence.

COURSE OUTLINE

Module 1: Requirements
Module 2: The theory and principles of incident investigation.
Module 3: The initial responses required at an incident scene.
Module 4: Investigate the incident and describe the review/follow-up process.

 

Theoretical assessment
Formative Assessment (Open book test)
Summative Assessment (Closed book test)

Practical assessment (Day 3)
Extensive practical on-site Incident Investigation assessment
