COURSE DESCRIPTION

This basic fire fighting course will enable employees to prevent, identify and extinguish different types insipient-stage fires in the workplace using basic fire-fighting equipment.

COURSE OUTLINE

Module 1: Legislation
Module 2: Identify types of fire (theory of fire)
Module 3: Fire prevention
Module 4:Select fire fighting equipment
Module 5: Fight the fire

Practical Assessment
Basic fire fighting exercise.

COURSE OUTCOMES

Students will be able to:

Identify different types of fires.
Explain and practise fire prevention.
Operate basic firefighting equipment.
Perform basic firefighting procedures.
